LCC Florence Center Upgrades
Lane Community College’s Florence Center is a 17,426 sf facility centrally located in Florence, Oregon. It is an essential educational resource for the entire western Lane County region, providing a wide variety of academic and community support offerings.
A wonderful collection of linked buildings nestled into a forest, the Florence Center offers a broad range of for-credit as well as community education courses, including classes in wellness, dance, art, science and technology.
Initially constructed in 1974, the facility has been expanded multiple times through the years to better serve the community. Our project addresses critical seismic, maintenance, and accessibility deficiencies and provides an array of design upgrades focused on supporting student learning.
Our design capitalizes on opportunities within the required upgrades to improve the facility’s function, provide long-term flexibility and support contemporary academic pedagogies.
